A seasoned professional with over 10 years in sales and entrepreneurial experience, Michelle Zhang helps her clients reach their real estate goals - whether a first time home-buyer or savvy investor – with a client-focused approach that is built on open and thoughtful communication, pragmatic problem solving and skilled negotiation.
After graduating from college in China with combined degrees in English Teaching and Accounting, Michelle began her career in sales at Tsinghua Tongfang Knowledge Network Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese resource database company in Beijing, China. As Regional Sales Manager, she built and managed distribution channels that served more than 30 universities, libraries and other institutional users in Southeast Asia.
In 2007, Michelle came to Chicago for a two-year cultural exchange program and developed an interest in early childhood education. After obtaining her “Music Together” Teaching License, she returned to China in 2009 to start a new venture “MiCho Edu, LLC” in Beijing. By providing high-quality programs and excellent customer service, her classes quickly became popular and well recognized among the local and ex-pat community, eventually teaching more than 1,200 children from over 40 countries, with a retention rate of 80%.
In 2013, Michelle and her American husband decided to come back to Chicago to pursue their careers and raise their son in the US. She and her family live in Kenwood near the University of Chicago and love exploring all of Chicago’s neighborhoods from Hyde Park to the North Side. Michelle is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
